Yamaha prices fall alongside autumn leaves

Danfay saleIf you’re a Yamaha fan on the scout for some fresh metal, now might be the time to go shopping.

With the summer season done, dusted and bid farewell, there are bargains to be found.

It’s that time of year again.

The days are getting shorter, the weather is getting colder and for some of us the ‘September Scarys’ have set in!

It’s not all bad news however. Indeed this week there has been a very good despatch from the dealership front line.

Danfay Newlands, Yamaha’s flagship store here in Ireland, has announced an end of season sale, with a host of machines on offer from now until the new year. That is, unless stocks run out in the meantime.

Good Neo’s

Danfay sale NeosFirst up is the innovative, all electric, Neo’s.

Equipped with a detachable lithium ion battery which can be charged from an ordinary domestic socket, the Neo’s offers both standard and ECO riding modes.

The latter extends its urban range to 38.5km, which can be further enhanced by using a second battery.

The Neo’s takes its name from the two-stroke scooter of old.

It performs in a similar way too, thanks to its small size and rapid acceleration.

This makes it a great a choice for the weary and indeed wary commuter.

The sale price has seen it drop from €3,499 to €2,899, which is good news in anyone’s book.

Sports report

Danfay sale R3For those looking to test the sports bike waters, the R3 is a great place to dip your toe.

The latest model is reduced from €7,699 to only €6,799.

That’s a lot of spare change for some new kit!

I’ve seen these being ridden by people who know what they’re doing and embarrass riders of bigger bikes while they were at it.

If the Hyper Naked range is more to your liking, then there’s €500 to be had off the MT 125.

This takes the ticket down to €5,499.

Ténéré treats

Danfay Sale Tenere ExploreThere are also two ‘24 model Ténéré machines on offer.

The very well equipped Explore model is down in price to €12,599 from €13,250, while the standard one is still brilliant and  reduced from €12,399 to €11,999.

The last two are from the XSR range. The hipsters choice of motorcycle!

The 700, with its’ parallel twin engine is down from €9,799 to €8,760 while the XSR 900 – a bike dripping with 70s’ cool – was €14,499 and is now €13,599.

If you like your Yamahas, then it may well be a good time to buy.
