Principal Insurance has become an NABD Gold affiliate in a move which will enable association members to access up to 25% discounts on bike and trike insurance.

Principal has also negotiated an extension to its optional UK and EU Breakdown recovery service which if purchased now includes dedicated cover for prosthetic limbs. This means that should you be unable to continue a journey due to a failed or damaged prosthesis, then Principal will arrange for the recovery of your machine.

The Manchester-based company is a particularly strong player in the custom bike market thanks to a commitment to genuinely personal service free – from the restrictions of lengthy call scripts and time targets – and access to an extensive panel of leading insurers. This is particularly pertinent to disabled bikers whose machines may necessarily feature adaptations such as thumb rakes and push-button gear changers.
