Pan America goes Limited

Harley-Davidson has updated its acclaimed adventure tourer, launching an edition for 2026 which comes with all the trimmings.

For this year, our American cousins have launched a ‘refresh’ on several existing models.

First up is a new Pan America.

This one is called the ‘Limited’ and comes with absolutely everything your little adventure bike-riding heart could desire.

There are three pieces of luggage. All are aluminium and between the panniers and the top box, they offer an impressive 120 litres of storage.

The aluminium continues with a bash plate under the engine as well as an exhaust guard and a radiator protector.

If you’re truly adventurous then the rad guard is worth its weight in gold when it comes to stone damage, whilst the bash plate will allow you to ride over immovable objects without tearing a hole in the bottom of the engine.

The last one, the exhaust guard, will also be necessary as you’re sure to ‘put it down’ at least once when riding trails and fording rivers.

Pegging it

Riding around in this manner usually involves doing so while standing on the pegs.

To make this easier the rear brake and gear lever are both adjustable, allowing the rider to get on with things without having to go searching around with their toes.

It also comes with a quickshifter.

This means there’s no need to use the clutch lever.

This is a good thing, since holding onto your handlebars properly always helps when dodging tree stumps and big rocks.

Old with the new

All the other stuff that we’ve seen on previous models is still there.

There are handguards and heated grips.

There’s a daymaker headlight.

No fewer than nine fuelling choices!

The wheels are laced metal spokes and this latest Pan America still has that suspension that allows the rear shock to ‘sink’ and the rider to dismount with ease.

Both ends are blessed with semi active suspension.

Meanwhile, that liquid cooled RevolutionMax V-Twin puts out a more than impressive 149 HP and 124Nm of torque.

All of the shenanigans are displayed on the bike’s TFT screen.

The Pan America Limited is available from Waterford H-D for €28,995.
