No slacking as Knox unveils Urbane Pro Move trousers

The new Knox Urbane Pro Move trousers make good use of the bike gear specialists’ In Motion armour to offer excellent protection and comfort.

Just don’t call them slacks says the ever debonnaire Paul Browne.

 

Slacks.

It’s just not a word you hear anymore, unless you’re somewhere north of eighty that is.

You probably like listening to the radio and smoking a pipe.

On Sundays you probably wear your best slacks.

That’s what Uncle Frank does, or usually does to be more accurate.

But, unlike Uncle Frank, we’re not in our eighties so we call them trousers and Knox call them trousers as well.

Clever pair

Their latest are a very clever pair and they’re called Urbane Pro Move.

These are inspired by the Urbane Pro jackets that have been part of the company’s range for the last number of years.

Just like the jacket, they’re close fitting, well-ventilated and have all the armour in all the right places.

If – and it’s a big if – one was to part company with one’s motorcycle, the amount of protection they offer is significant.

Weight watcher

Because the fabric is In Motion Mesh, the armour which is made with Knox’s own Micro-Lock technology ‘falls into place’ and the weight of the whole garment is almost non-existent once the wearer puts them on.

Since they’re ventilated, they make the perfect summer riding apparel.

While they are more than adequate on any type of bike, because of the way they are constructed they make the perfect piece of kit for adventure riding.

But back to the In Motion Mesh.

This is a new and very clever fabric that weighs less and allows the wearer more freedom of movement.

The traditional solid linings are gone and replaced by a ‘silky power mesh’.

Some would say they’re so light it feels like you’ve nothing on!

Waist management

I do like that these are so very comfortable.

The waist is adjustable from the sides and they even have a soft waistband.

The ‘Lift&Lock’ ankle closer fits inside boots with ease, the belt loops make it easy to attach them to any jacket in the Knox range, and the fly is a clever YKK magnetic closing affair.

Available in black or ‘Petrol Blue’, Urbane Pro Move have a AA CE rating, a straight leg and the armour is removable.
