Here comes EICMA 2025

EICMA 2025

They’ll be plenty of fresh metal on display next weekend in Milan as EICMA returns to the bustling and picturesque Italian city.

But for Paul Browne, treats lie beyond the major motorcycle manufacturers’ stands with a bonanza of protective gear, accessories and after market delights to be discovered.

EICMA, or Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori to give it its full title, translates to International Exhibition of the Motorcycle and Accessories.

It’s one of the high points of the motorcycle calendar and the biggest bike show in the world, with seven huge halls, each one twice the size of the Shelbourne Hall in Dublin’s RDS.

It’s a big deal in every sense.

All the big brands showcase their racing and adventure successes of 2025 as well as their offerings for the coming year.

Small pleasures

EICMA 2025But what are often overlooked are the smaller stands and manufacturers.

For example, Held clothing (Hall 14, stand E39) will be showcasing their new motorcycle gear.

The German brand is bringing its new range of Carese and Tavino suits to Milan, along with the To-Go 2 backpack.

That last bit of kit is being made for those of us who commute daily in the city.

Lifting the lids

Scorpion helmets (Hall 18, stand E60) will be showing off their new Exo 1500 Air helmet.

This is made with a combination of composite fibres but with a lower percentage of carbon.

EICMA 2025The shell has been designed to reduce turbulence and improve stability at high speeds. The latest Pinlock 70 MaxVision and KwikFit systems are part of it and the cheek pads can also be removed.

Rival Arai (Hall 5, stand 81) will also be on hand with a full range of lids.

While we’re not expecting any new models this year, there will be a host of new designs as the list of sponsored riders is updated.

My very favourite after market adventure company, Acerbis (Hall 7, stand G46), will be exhibiting their new Rally suit.

Mesh liners, detachable sleeves and an inbuilt hydration system are all integral to what looks like a very neat piece of protective kit.

Stealth mode

D30 EICMA 2025British bike gear boffins D30 will also be at the show with a whole host of their distinctive and very clever orange armour.

The including a whole new protection system called the ‘Stealth’.

The same stand (Hall 6, stand I45)  will feature their partners, Furygan, of Michael Dunlop clothing fame (the riding ace is a D30 ambassador).

You’ll also be able to check out their In&Motion airbag vests.

Watch out too for Italian company, Bonamici Racing (Hall 5, stand E81), which is promising some very cool new kit for the coming season.

We can expect new pieces for the Ducati V4 and V4S as well as Yamaha’s R9 and the ZX-6R.

All of these and so much more are exhibiting at EICMA 2025 next week from the 6th to the 9th of November 2025.

Both the blue planes and the green ones fly into the cities three airports and if you get bored at the show you can always check out the city’s excellent restaurants and the best coffee in the known world…
