Protecting your lower regions when riding is imperative.I really like Knox kit.
As somebody who believes in wearing all the gear all the time, I won’t sling one of my long and beautiful legs over a bike without donning the appropriate kit.
However, I have to admit that some of the bike clothing that I have, while being brilliant on the road, isn’t conducive to a lunch date with someone that you might have a gra for.
Knox have, long ago, solved that problem.
The under jackets such as the Urbane Pro, The Honister and, my favourite, the Tor, all work incredibly well.
Best of all they can be ‘hidden’ under the company’s outer layers which are styled to look casual and very stylish in a café cortado kind of way.
Now the legs have arrived in the form of Action Pro Trousers.
Just like the jackets they are a low profile affair to allow the rider to wear any trousers, or indeed a dress, over them.
If you have killer legs like mine then they could be worn as simple leggings.
While they have armour it’s Micro Lock and therefore compact enough to use on the hips, the knees and now the thighs and even the coccyx.
Side note: I’ve never broken my coccyx and I never ever want to.
That armour is held in place by a groovy new fabric called Sonora which is made by DuPont.
It’s strong, it stretches and it’s even stain resistant.
The trousers are held in place with an elasticated band on the ankles and waist, whilst the armour can be removed for a standard low temperature wash in the machine.
There are no fewer than seven sizes all the way up from extra small to triple extra-large.
They are available in any colour that you’d like. As long as that colour is black.
You can buy directly from the factory, or here at MotoKingdom for €149.99
