Aston Lark Ireland announces acquisition of Principal Insurance Ireland DAC

We’re delighted to announce that Principal Insurance Ireland DAC has been acquired by one of the country’s fastest-growing and most highly respected brokers – Aston Lark Ireland.

Following the acquisition it will be very much business as usual, with the entire team of motorbike insurance experts remaining on hand to help you out.

Investment

Aston Lark Ireland is also set to invest further in the business.

The deal comes less than a month after Aston Lark Ireland’s last acquisition announcement and will further strengthen its already significant personal lines insurance expertise.

Based in Dublin, Principal Insurance was established in 2015. We’ve  since grown to become a leading player in the Irish motorcycle insurance market, with a 30%+ market share.

With a strong customer first ethos our 18-strong team of passionate professionals, led by Dave Bowcock and Aly Dixon, has been the driving force behind the growth of the business.

Diversification

With further investment we will now look to extend our footprint in motorcycle insurance and seek out diversification opportunities.
