CF Moto’s 300SR comes dressed to impress

This week Paul Browne casts a keen eye over CF Moto’s  300SR, a new entry-level sports bike from a Chinese manufacturer with a growing reputation.

300srCF Moto have now had a presence here in Ireland  through Franklin Motorcycles in Swords for five years.

The company’s range runs all the way from 125cc machines up to 700cc adventure tourers.

Now, for 2022, there are a number of new models about to be launched.

The one that catches my eye is the all new 300SR.

This is CF Moto’s A2 friendly entry level sports bike offering.

Looking good

It looks good.

The shape of the fairing, the radially mounted brakes, the swingarm and even the graphics, all look like a bike from a brand that charges a lot more for their product.

It’s powered by a 292cc single cylinder fuel injected engine with a six speed gear box.

It puts out 28.5 brake horse power as well as a little over 25 nm of torque at 7,250 rpm.

Numbers like this make riding a bike in its class a whole lot more fun than they were just a few short years ago.

300srOn spec

The rest of the kit on the bike is all made to a reassuringly high specification

This starts with the LED headlights.

Drawing the bike to a halt is facilitated by the single disk and floating calliper set up on either end.

The rider’s display is a full TFT affair. All the basics such as speed, gear selected and RPM are displayed. There’s also phone connectivity.

The whole thing sits in a lightweight frame that has been built specifically for the class. It’s complimented by a set of 37mm upside down forks on the front end and a single shock on the rear.

The new 300SR now joins the 300NK as well as the slightly smaller 250SR in this licence category.

This gives the Chinese company a decent foothold in the novice and learner markets here in Ireland.

The price has been confirmed at €5,380. For more on the 300SR and the rest of the bike in the range, give the team at Franklin a call on  01 5385005.
